Meet your London Photographer in London
My name is Domi and I am your London photographer. I will share some fun facts about me and my business. Why I start a photography business and why holiday photoshoot?
I started my holiday photoshoot business after experiencing my own frustration with unsuccessful photos during my trip to Sydney. As a solo traveller in my dream destination, I arrived at the Opera House and attempted to take selfies, but they turned out poorly. I then tried asking strangers to take photos of me, but I worried they might run off with my phone, and even when I found someone I could trust, the resulting images were disappointing. I felt like I was wasting my time and stressing during my dream holiday. Sitting in front of the Opera House, I wished for a local Instafriend who could show me the best spots in Sydney and take amazing photos and videos for me. Months later, I moved to London and witnessed countless tourists struggling to capture great photos of iconic landmarks like Tower Bridge. It was then that I realized I could be their Instafriend Photographer! That's how I started my business.
When I moved to London, I didn't speak very good English. To be honest, I didn't even know what "dividends" and "expenses" meant. I was working at the front desk of a hotel. I was scared to pick up the ringing phone. After two months, I started taking photos of tourists. From the beginning, my photography business started working very well. After a few months of working full-time and taking photos of tourists as something extra, I went to my boss and told him that I was leaving. He asked me what my plan was, and I bravely said that I was going to open my own business. Just imagine his shocked face - I didn't speak English well and I had just moved to a foreign country. After five years of running my successful business, I'm glad to say that it was worth the risk and that I followed my dream.
