When Christmas is coming the most common question I hear from my clients “When the Christmas lights are on?”
and this year is pretty early! Is not confirm yet but probably from middle of November (just be save) unit the 5th or 6th of January 2024.
Christmas decorations is one of the best in the World. Even like small little street has some cute decoration. Definitely is great to have taken some photos too! So let me show you

Is new Bond Street decorated for Christmas?
New Bond Street
looks great for Christmas photoshoot in London during the day and night. If you wish to have night vibe but avoid million of people I would suggest to book photoshoot on the morning around 6 or 7 am.
What I love about this spot that is also redphone box which is giving the best vibe about London.

Regent street perfect for Christmas Photoshoot
Regent Street Christmas Lights Switch On
As long you will be around New Bond Street the next spot you should visit, special during Christmas time in 2023 is Regent Street. The beautiful Christmas decoration which will take from 8th of November until approximately January 3, 2024. Remember that the date are not confirm just yet, so I would consider to book Christmas photoshoot with Scalens Studio around 15 of November here.
Oxford Street Christmas Lights Switch On
Christmas photoshoot in Oxford Street
After Regent Street, go and visit Oxford Street. The lights will switch on in similarly time. Th fun fact is that is going to be over 5.000 lights up also there is 300.000 tiny Led bulbs. Places that you can not miss and if you are travelling solo, with your partner, or with your family let me help you take photos of you. The address of Oxford Street Christmas lighting is W1D 1BS.
Ritz Hotel Christmas decoration
One of my favorite Hotel to stay, for afternoon Tea and as well for Christmas photoshoot is Ritz Hotel, which is located 150 Piccadilly, St. James’s, London W1J 9BR.
This spot is worth to visit during the day as is not that many Christmas lights but there is many wonderful christmas decoration. Perfect place for couple, family or even solo Christmas photoshoot.
Covent Garden Christmas Lights Switch On
If you want to visit all the spots we add in our blog I would suggest to book photoshoot for at least 6 hours. Then we can take some photos during the day and at night. Next magic spot is Covent Garden. This beautiful place is worth to visit during the day and night. The address of the place is: WC2E 9DD. Each year the decoration in this spot is changing so maybe in 2023 they will suprise us with something more unique?

You can choose any date middle of November and depend of you. If you want to night session, book slot after 6 pm if you want to have day photoshoot session then from 9 am to 3 pm. If you want to avoid people let’s meet at 7 am. Also there is an option to book session for 6 hours photoshoot here if you want to have night and day session.
